The Role

Account Director - London - £45K

One of the world's leading sponsorship agencies are looking for an Account Director to work on a unique and exciting sponsorship activation programme. From their London head office, they activate B2B and B2C programmes across sport, music, fashion and film for a wide variety of global brands.

This Account Director role is to work on a long-standing global client on a major sporting event sponsorship activation programme that will come to life in retail. This is a key role within the agency and will require close collaboration with the Sponsorship Director in the UK as well as the global client team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing project management best practices in conjunction with all parties to efficiently manage timelines, budgets, resources, issues and risks.
  • Delivering merchant/retail activation activities against agreed metrics.
  • Defining, negotiating and managing the external contracts.
  • Ensuring brand integration with marketing and brand teams.
  • Working with partners to develop and manage all business requirements. 

The Candidate

This is a fantastic opportunity for a sports and sponsorship focussed Account Director to join a leading agency on a unique and exciting account. You will need to have significant project management experience and evidence of successful delivery on medium to large scale activation programmes.

Key requirements:

  • An understanding of the global sponsorship industry.
  • Experience in managing B2B events.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritise in a fast-moving and challenging work environment.
  • Well developed interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Experience of working on retail, delivery retail incentive and activation programmes.
